Fri. Nov. 2, 2012……Headed out this morning to guide Mike McKee and we have a frosty morning. It will be chilly this morning, but looks like it will warm nicely as the day goes on. The Mtns in several areas here got 8-14" of snow and are slowly digging out.
Delayed harvest waters are being stocked on schedule despite the weather. Fishing has been good and that should continue. Spoke at length with friend Jake Rash of NC Wildlife and got the skinny on the research being done on hatchery supported waters. The project began in conjunction with NC State and is currently being conducted on the North Toe River. The next phase will move to Stone Mtns State Park.
Have a great one, more from the water when we start fishing….
