Where Fly Fishing is a Professional Passion…..

Good Day in Bad Conditions….

Mon. Oct.8, 2012….Today was one of those days you see the forecast and you reach down deep and try to provide the best fishing possible. Guided Dr Pat Burney , one of ny regular clients and we had a 30 fish day in 38-39F temps and all day rain. Caught browns, rainbows, brookies and our total included a 21" brook trout and a 23" rainbow. I remember mentioning that cold weather was big fish time……believe it. That is 6 20 inch or larger fish this week.

Looking forward to tomorrow, will be guiding Larry White, Raleigh, NC, and we will be fishing the Catawba River in the morning…..probably chuck and duck with streamers..then hitting the South Holston in early afternoon and hopefully catch the sulphur hatch on falling water.

Hope your week is off to a good start….more to come from tomorrow’s fishing…

Have a great evening….!
