Where Fly Fishing is a Professional Passion…..

Good Day on the Upper North Fork….

Fri. Oct. 5,2012…..Good day today on the upper North Fork of the New, guided Russ Hardin and his son Noel Abe we had a 30-35 fish day including rainbows and brookies. All nymphing, but the water levels are down and clear again…..no high water to speak of.

Lots of stonefly nymphs and caddis larvae in the leaf clumps….one of my favorite tactics is drifting a size 10-12 black wooly bugger dead drift….with a small egg dropper….kills them ….and did so today.

Taking an hour to fish myself in prep for our GTCC class field trip tomorrow. Have a great evening….and a great weekend too…

Tight loops…
