Early Start…..Great Day Ahead….
Fri. Sept. 7, 2012….Wake up time came quite early this morning in Lansing, NC on the banks of the North Fork of the New River. Had originally planned to be on the New R today guiding Brian Thomas and his friend Will, they are from the Raleigh / Durham, NC area. We are opting for plan B which is to hit the South Holston as we had some rain yesterday and that pushed the NC side of the New’s flows up quite a bit and we had some dirty water to deal with. We are headed to East TN and hopefully upon our return this afternoon we will find things cleared up a bit.
Looks like we have a pretty potent/powerful frontal system on its way in. The weather folks are saying much cooler temps behind the front and the first fall like temps of the year. The mtns could see lows dip into the upper 40sF. Wow….on second thought, bring it on!
Have a great day….more to come from the water!
