Great Day of Flyfishing…..
Fri. June 15, 2012…It was a great day and I knew we were in for a good one when three casts to start the day yielded a 23 in brown on a .Jeffs Japanese beetle and a 25 in. Brown on the same fly. Two huge browns and on dries……..wow
I guided Dr Gregg Taylor , his wife Paula, and his two sons Andrew and Ross at Escatawba, and we had great dry fly early with sulphurs and beetles, ants, and inchworms. Our group over the course of our day put between 40-50 fish in my net. Browns to 25" and rainbows up to 20".
We did best early til lunch, then moved downstream in the afternoon. We landed a few more fish and then decided to call it a day.
Headed back and out again guiding Adam Harman tomorrow on some Yadkin smallmouth.
Have a great evening….!
