Warm Day, Pretty Hot on The Fishing Side Too…
Wed. May. 2, 2012….Good day today even if it was quite hot. It got to 80F today and was by far the warmest day yet where we were fishing. I guided Tim Ross and Mike McKee from Raleigh, NC, and we had a banner day.
The air was balmy from the time we got in the water. I was pretty surprised that we didn’t see any bugs early on. With the warm temps of the past several days the water temp where we were was already 59F which is a little on the mild side.
We mostly fished nymphs and stripped streamers and killed them. Caught all three species , and Mike caught a 20.5″ rainbow to put and end to the day. It’s 7:16pm and with thunderstorms we have decided to call it a day. The water is up a little already and looks like we will have good water levels here for a while longer. And that is great.
Great day, home for some rest and out again tomorrow. Have a great evening.
