Where Fly Fishing is a Professional Passion…..

Good Fishing, Stormy Weather……..

Sat. Mar. 17, 2012……Got an early start to beat the thunderstorm threat and this would prove to be a good move today. Guided Diane and Scott Bertrand and we had excellent fishing, catching probably 40 fish or so up to 20". Lots of fine rainbows and about a half dozen fish on dry flies….by Scott. We got in about 4 to 5 hrs of good fishing before the first thunderstorms arrived. We waited out the first one.

When we started fishing again Scott nailed about 8-10 more nice fish. We fished through one more shower and then called it a day.

Other than dry flies we killed them on midge patterns. Near Nuthins in size 20/22 and a red bead fox squirrel Emerger pattern too, which is a new pattern. Our largest fish on the day ate the latter.

Headed home for a Sunday rest and day off….hope the rest of your weekend is great….!
