Where Fly Fishing is a Professional Passion…..

Wet, Wet….and No End in Sight……

Tues….May 17,2011…..Had originally had a guided trip scheduled with Mike McKee of Chapel Hill, NC, and the rains and abundant runoff prompted the TVA to release water for a few days. What a bummer too, because the dry fly fishing.has been fantastic. Was in Banner Elk briefly this evening before returning to Bluff City,TN and it was 39F balmy degrees…..this is May….right? Wasn’t it just 87F less than a week ago? Go figure. Doing a guided trip with Diane and Scott Bertrand in the morning. We will be out at daybreak in hopes of getting in a half day of fishing before the water rises as the TVA is projecting all day releases again tomorrow. Oh well, beats not having enough water. Better finish tying flies n get some sleep….sinuous will come early.

Today’s picture is my oldest son Ben with a 22" brook trout he caught with me over the weekend…..sweet!
