Things are Shaping Up Nicely…..
Mon….May 2, 2011….May is finally here, and that means dry fly fishing and sulphurs….! For the next few months the tailwaters and private waters both will be a main event offering some world class fly fishing….and I for one can’t wait. Right now the calendar is full with trips and a lot of them on the tailwaters and its great to now see the TVA coming back in line with favorable releases. I have been down a couple of days with a surgery and will be back in the game on Thursday and can’t wait. Our newsletter will be emailed in the next day or so and we have a ton of stuff in it.
Conditions are good right now, plenty of water, most places are now clear from the last high water episodes and they are fishing well. A number of places got a restocking of fish today and stocking will resume through tomorrow and Wednesday. Expect good fishing on most waters all week. A cool down coming Wednesday with high temps in the low 50s here and 40s in the mountains, but the best part is that the rain part should be light. And that is great news.
I have been extremely busy doing web work and reworking a number of things on our website(s). Also, have some new fly tying patterns posted up on our Fly Tyer’s Bench page and Fly Tying website. Some great flies that can be put to use right now.
Have a great evening and will have more fishing reports forthcoming…
