More Wet Weather on the Way……

Wed….Jan. 25, 2012……Yes, if you can believe, there’s more wet stuff on the way.  Looks like there’s a huge system in the Gulf and in the Texas/Louisiana coastal area that is dumping heavy rains.  Looks like it will loose its punch before it gets here but apparently will have enough left to dump an inch or more of rain.  Well, it may be hard to deal with more of it, but more rain now insures more water for spring and early summer.  Here’s a satellite image of the large system in the Gulf:

I have a three day trip coming up guiding Bob Manning, Sonny Lackey, and Randy Jackson, and we will be fishing in it provided there isn’t so much runoff it blows us out.  We are fishing TN Tailwaters and some hike in waters and on Saturday private water if the water is down enough to do so.

I posted a Reading Water 101 post on the Fishing Reports page of my website.  If you like nymph fishing its a look at one of the favorite and fishy water types that we fish a lot and have a lot of on our small streams…..

Have a great day today and we’ll be posting some more on conditions later today….
